I never understood using pomegranate seeds. It gets mixed with other food in every spoonful, forkful, bite and then you have to separate it from the rest of the stuff in your mouth and spit it out.

These seeds are big and juicy (from giant-sized Costco pomegranates), we never spit them out. Can't do this with the smaller ones though, too much pulp(?), so I think it depends on the pomegranate. I can eat these large pomegranate seeds by the handful (although extracting the seeds from each pomegranate is a bit of a pain).
BTW, I won't have half of these ingredients by next weekend, so it's going to get creative.

You eat the whole thing, noob.

For me it depends on the pomegranate. I once bought a couple of smaller pomegranates from a local grocery store to supplement until the next Costco run, and they were too small and hard to eat. I got the juice but had to spit out the access pulp(?). These aren't like that.

I had pomegranate a dozen times, sometimes it came in salads at restaurants, sometimes just buying the whole fruit and never had any where I could eat the whole seed.

Well, that's the end of my mushrooms as they needed to be eaten so I added them to my cabbage soup...
Man, most produce goes fast even when you try to ration it, but while not letting any of it expire (I don't waste food, especially not now).
One possible solution we're looking into is the framer's market sellers out here who are selling produce and eggs from their homes. As I understand it, everything is laid out by the street with simple cash prices. You pick what you want and leave the cash while they observe from a distance (there's often somewhat of an honor system out in the boonies). I'd rather not have to leave my house but this seems like a much better idea to me than driving into town and going inside of a store. Fresh produce (and soon eggs) is all that we're lacking but we're used to eating so much of it.
My father plowed a new vegetable garden today but I forgot to ask if he planted anything yet and how long it'll take to grow.

Wife says, "Thanks" (even soup is beyond my cooking abilities except to add extra ingredients). It's the turkey sausage and potatoes that makes this one so good, IMO.
We're already coming up with pot luck ideas before getting heavy into freezer and canned foods.

Wife got creative for breakfast this morning (using what we have)...
Poached eggs on grated cheddar and mozzarella inside of soft steamed poblano peppers...
It was outstanding! I think tonight we're having wok stir fried vegetables with chicken (or shrimp and scallops if I'm lucky). Lots of good mixes lately and that's my kind of eating (my chopsticks are ready).
Since working from home she's had more time in the kitchen and we both love it! We've always known that we would have been happier with a more traditional family life, but we knew from the beginning that it wasn't going to work out that way. Still, it's nice to live as much of a normal life as possible (especially now under such abnormal circumstances).

NoFlyBoy, I'll take some of that soup! The next one looks more like a playful kink.
I was waiting to post until I fixed my USB camera chip card reader, but no dice. I'll have to order another one to post any new pics. I wanted to show a healthier version of a quiche.

Just FYI for any rural stay-at-homers, my wife's work shipped her an iPhone 11 to use as a hotspot (replacing iPhone 7s). Don't know why, but a mobile phone hotspot (Verizon) works better than satellite internet (HughesNet), although I'm sure it's more expensive.

No pie crust, only 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs on oiled glass pie plate. Ingredients: Broccoli, eggs, shredded mozzarella, onion, spinach, red bell pepper and lots of mushrooms.
4 out of 6 slices gone (2 went to parents) and I'm ready to fight for the largest piece tomorrow morning! This is becoming one of my favorites.

A normal quiche includes ingredients missing in ours such as cream/milk, butter, ham/bacon, lots more cheese (usually cheddar), and sitting in a pie crust (see pic below). Although I bet it's delicious, there's no comparison with the numbers.
Nothing against ham/bacon, I have several slices in my fridge right now from a recently thawed ham. Delicious, but eaten moderately.

Coincidence you talk Quiche. I was watching James Bond film yesterday and Roger Moore Bond made a quiche. Isn't egg the most common ingredients in quiche?
