I'll snag these in hopes of getting a driving wheel some day!

I have Project Cars 2 and I really like it. I tried to get into Assetto Corsa but I just found the sim to be too sterile and simply dull.

I also have both, and also hugely prefer PC2. It really has a better VR experience IMO. And of course, driving games are perfect for VR, especially with a wheel. The sense of immersion is huge. The wheel I have is the Logitech G29 + manual gear shift.

Assetto Corsa if fine, but you have to jump out of VR to do anything while PC2 you can do everything right in the helmet. On the other hand, I hear that AC is a slightly better online experience, so horses for courses here.

I'm mostly a single-player auto racing type so there's no doubt that was a factor behind my dislike for AC. Both the Codemasters F1 series and Project Cars series have a very well fleshed out single player experience complete with championships seasons, standings, media interviews, etc. I guess the word I'm thinking of here is "immersion". Both of those sim series have it in spades while I found it lacking in AC.

AC also has an active modding scene, not just cars & tracks but also "apps" that can change the information you see onscreen. As far as I know PC2 has no modding. But, it does have a whole LOT of content. Something like 80+ tracks and over 120 cars. Also there's a lot of variety there for rally, Indy, supercars, regular cars etc, right down to kart racing, which is huge fun on it's own smile
