After the spit i have started working on doing some bases for a few of the other completed kits, lets me play with pigments and that huge roll of grass i now have. The first one is for the two 109's and instead of doing two separate bases, i thought i could combine the two. I need to otherwise i am going to lose a shelf in the cabinet as only one base will fit comfortably, unless i do squares...and i prefer rectangles. This one is 38 x 14, the Spit base is 29 x14 cm and sits angled neatly in the 39 x 29 shelf space. Any smaller than 38cm for two planes and it starts to look a bit cramped. So, to fit both 109's on the one and not look out of place, one being a Trop and the other Western front, i came up with the idea of blending from France to Africa with pigments. Grass to dirt runway to desert sand. The desert section is still in the drying stage and some blending to do but coming along decently. I may add some small puddles with the clear water product i still have from the Warspite build as the grass to dirt section looks like it has recently rained, and possibly some in the tyre tracks.

Very, very effective display Ajay. How about a pilot for each next?
Gareth UNDERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the front wing. OVERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the back wing. HORSEPOWER - is how fast you hit the wall. TORQUE - is how far you can take the wall with you. Read my scale modelling blog at www.latibuliser.com or mfhmazda787.com
