Remember when Steam changed their layout last year so that on the right you now saw all sorts of related content including cosplay stuff and music videos and the like?

One day I clicked on Witcher 3 and found some videos from this young lady. Mesmerizing, for me anyway. Love stuff like this. And as a musician I can appreciate her mastery of all of these exotic instruments, not to mention the amazing voice. I thought others might enjoy it too if they hadn't heard them. It sort of makes me appreciate the music in that game more, as it's easy to sort of notice it, but not at the same time, when playing the game.

I'm at work with no sound on my PC so I'm going to link a few videos but without knowing for sure which songs I am putting up. She has tons of them and easy to find under the Gingertail moniker.

So she’s obviously a mega fan of the Witcher games, she’s beautiful and she’s extremely talented.

Man I wish I would have met her back when I was single! wink

She's amazing. And these videos really impress me. The editing is awesome. How long does it take to make something like this and have everything synch up? She has to perform and record each of those parts, then it all has to be put together. Maybe it's easier today than what I am imagining, but still impressive.

From an artistic viewpoint, again, amazing. Every instrument is perfectly tuned, all strings have perfect intonation, her pitch is perfect. And I'm blown away by her ability to play so many, and these are not your typical mainstream instruments. Harps, mandolins, recorders, and lots of stuff I don't even know what it is. And the songs are not easy to play!

She should have been Triss in the TV series smile

Thanks for sharing DBond. She's a very talented musician it appears and like you said, with many unique instruments. I always find it impressive when they accompany themselves with multiple instruments and harmony vocals and then layer it all together making an even fuller sound giving the impression of multiple players. Hearing that music makes me wish I could start Witcher 3 for the first time all over again. Having over 600 hours in it though I'm not sure when I could play it again and it feel fresh.

I remember the Skyrim gal too. She does a great job as well. Music is an amazing thing and these videos reminds one of how important it is for a game to have not only good music but the right kind of music that's crafted just for the game itself. I also love all the moody, fuzzy and warm guitar melodies found in The Last of Us.
