The first aircraft I ever flew in was an Auster, from Ringway which is now Manchester Airport. That would have been in 1949 or thereabouts.
Visiting Ringway for aero-spotting I was familiar with the De Havilland Dragon Rapides, but on a holiday at Blackpool I did a round the tower joyflight in a De Havilland Dragon, which had preceded the "Rapide".

Just now at GameRanger we have been flying Moggy's IRAQ. In that part of the war De Havilland Dragons were used as enemy bombers, so we flew a co-op intercept.

Here's a big flight of Dragons:

Now there is one less:

We never get tired of flying Moggy's Iraq theatre. There is a heap of unusual planes, and the theatre itself is great smile

Cheers chaps. Have you found the village with the camels yet? Having a bit bumpy time at the moment, but hoping to get back to some EAW work before too long.

Ha ha! Though I was/am plotting a WW1 version of the theatre.

No, when setting up the 2WW, Iraq theatre I read about a group of mounted Iraqui nationalists who made freelance attacks on British forces during the 1941 campaign, so I put them into the theatre in one of the outlying villages. They should be a target.

It just goes to show how flexible the UAW160 system is smile
At the moment I an transferring a heap of stuff from my old laptop, including the source code for a "tardata.dat" reader and editor.
Using the current one I am getting a CTD on one of the versions of the IRAQ "tardata.dat" file, and running it in source code will allow me to find out what is causing it. It may be a fault in the program, or a dodgy value in the file. I was trying to locate instances of camels.

Iraq mounted forces were tmod54 in the original Iraq scheme, with the skinfile "Gcamel",

Inevitably Shreck's creation. Intended as moving targets.
