WOW!

https://mars.nasa.gov/resources/curiositys-1-8-billion-pixel-panorama/?site=msl

So what's preventing it from driving over a cliff or breaking a wheel or an axle/rod that connects the wheels or hitting something and toppling over like a turtle?

Multiple things lower the chances of it driving somewhere that would damage it, but of course things could still happen.

First, the project managers picked places that didn't have too many dangers, and they planned things out using orbital photos, etc. Then, they look at the landscape through the rover's cameras and plan a course that looks to be safe, and the rover also has autonomous driving sensors to help avoid things like cliffs and whatnot.

It also helps that movement speeds are snail like. Lots of time for local sensors to analyse and steer &/or stop.

Not sufficient for the direct remote control with the radio delay to Mars orbit, but still making life easier to planning/revising plans for 'distant' terrain.

The fact that the decepticons are on the dark side of the moon, not Mars.

It'll disturb the sleeping martians in the end of make them launch their invasion of earth!

Sorry but some of your posts in Community Hall are just moronic.
