I looked up her wiki page after hearing Gloria on the radio at work last week. I don't know how big she was in the states but here it's really that one song that gets played and even that rarely but still part of my youth!

Think its well know in the Eurozone, as this Video is making clear, how cheap the marketing team behind the product Laura was acting, all to extent the profit. If the profit being low just dump the artist and get another slave.

Now a days we are getting terrorized by all those “artists” from scripted talent shows like “America got talent” or “The voice of Holland” , “the next pop talent” , “so you wannebe a popstar” “K2 searching for K3” crap . The “talents” are singing songs without any feeling, have signed wrong contracts only for make lots off profit for the marketing team behind all these scripted talent shows. Thats the music industry.

Well to be fair, a very large percentage of the very well known pop singers don't/didn't write their own songs. Celine Dion, Mariah Carrey and Whitney Houston are some examples.

Yes you are correct but for the American audience I'm sure most would be surprised. To be perfectly honest, I was totally unfamiliar with the Italian singers who originally performed the 2 songs I posted.

Here another from Umberto, these were hits in my country I guess in Italy he did have more hits. If being well remembering I think he even was an singer at an Eurovision Song Contest. But one forum member from Italy could explain more.
