Stellar Tactics, is a old school open world Sci-Fi RPG of the likes of UFO Enemy Unknown, Baldurs Gate, and Fallout 1 and 2. It´s been in development since Sep. 2016, a game by a one man team Don Wilkins (Mavrick Games). Game is in EA but some folks have more then 300hrs. into the game. Developer is very active and shows a labor of love with this little gem.

Bought the game on GOG, but can be bought on Steam or Humble Bundle for €16,79. Hope to do some videos soon.

Five hours into the game and Iam already hooked with the storyline. Just finished the first part, the Dauntless prologue, took me five hours without rushing, and I really enjoyed how the story is told. It reminds me of my Baldurs Gate experience back then. So far not a dull moment, and the graphics are quite of my liking too.

In the five hours I have spent I can say I already got my moneys worth, but this has only started now, wont get into why because I don´t want to spoil anything, but there´s alot ahead to do for sure.



Having fun with it, which is what matters most.

GOG has extended it´s refund policy to 30 days now, including EA games. One can always try it out and get a refund if it´s not what you expected...

Really don´t know where to post RPG games here on SimHQ, maybe a sub-forum here on RTS?

I've had this on my wishlist for a long time in order to keep tabs on it. Is it out of EA? See how well I keep tabs?

My cup runneth over, but I might pick it up for play at a later date.

Edit: My tab-keeping maybe isn't so off. It's still in EA, and as per my SOP I'll wait until it comes out of it, though it's not a definite purchase. But I put it on the wishlist because I like the ideas here. Keep the reports coming Red!

As for release date, Iam afraid this one will be awhile so I had to add a annex to my SOP.

All I can say it´s BIG in all directions, so really not concerned when it´s released. Open world randomness, aswell with misions, so it´s not something one can finish. Just a though...

BTW, have you had a look at Beautiful Desolation? Another one under my radar. Seems we are in for a good year in games, these two, Stoneshard (keeping this one on reserve) all seem right for me.

I have and it looks good. I mean in the literal sense. Nice graphics, although your character is tiny! I sort of dismissed it as a point and click adventure game, not a RPG, although that in itself does not make it a bad game. Just not my style. Usually.

Yep, to tiny for my liking too, and not to RPG either. At least there making nice looking games.
