Interesting but a very niche product I would think.
I had a ZX Spectrum 128K +2 back in the day. I thought it was fantastic at the time but then I suppose it was. I was a little jealous of the Commodore 64 with its better sound and graphics but it was out of my reach way back then.
Also the first computer that I played a 'flight sim' on if you could call it that. It had no cockpit view, you just flew it on instruments. I think it was called Flight Path 737.

Yes, Iam just surprised this even went as a kickstarter, but hey if they coverd the KS, then that means there is a damand for it.
I would think that with some sort of emulator, one could play/use the backlog of games. Iam sure such emulator is available, but for the diehard fans a newer version is well welcomed.
I know people do make there own pinball cabs and use actual software to emulate the originals...
So yeah, why not!

Guess I the only one that does have mixed feelings about this Sinclair Spectrum ZX crap. Input by rubber multi function keys, the loooong loading data from a cassette recorder and a old glass B/W tv as a monitor. I my case I had to buy this expensive piece of electronic junk as a student to do dynamic simulations, what a waste. Designing the program flow chart, typing the machine code in, saving to the cassette and before eating generating the calculation that should show up as graphically lines on the TV. Now hooping it did show the right as expected simulator behavior or having a loading fault, you could work for another fxxking night. The whole Spectrum did made me so angry about computers that it was only until Win95 I finally did buy me a real one.
So yeah great memories for others, but not for me as a poor student a great frustrating adventure.
edit, Btw, I did not like the pixels games that were available for this type of “computer” found them childish and to make an digital list from all your records, telephone numbers and addresses, mmm I did prefer the handy pen/paper method, if needed. Man, for the same amount of money I could spent 2 weeks at Spain, chasing beautiful girls, that would be better fun.
It was sometimes a frustrating experience for sure. Although I had used a rubber key 48K, my 128 had a 'proper' keyboard. Tape loading times seemed to go on for ages.
One title I remember that had long load times was Starglider by Jez San,remember him?
My next machine was an Atari ST and I was amazed at the short load times but of course eventually even that was slow.
