May I present the newest incarnation of the venerable Russian LPM-50 shovel, featuring a significantly more efficient digging shape and slightly less weight as compared to the originals.

The steel is better than that of the vintage items as well, and equal or slightly better than that of the fascist imperialist Cold Steel version.

As a chopping tool, it seems to be slightly inferior compared to the older versions, as the head is more dished, and seems to feature slightly more "lift" {shovel term for the amount of raised offset in the angle of the head compared to the handle}, although it was still pretty capable, and the tradeoff for better digging ability seems well worth it.

Build quality is typically Russian, with a slightly "clocked" handle, handle screws askew and slightly rusted, and bubbled paint, although no show stoppers, and I'm not too picky about petty cosmetic flaws on a beater tool.

I like this type of shovel because not only are they handy and versatile as tools, but they are IMO about the most effective melee implement that you can get that's "politically correct" and is unlikely to trigger sheeple at a glance.

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Great for close trench combat rather than your unwieldy rifle and bayonet if you find yourself in that situation! smile

Gun Jesus Approves.

Also great for more mundane tasks like chopping firewood, digging out Blackberry bush roots, digging a trench to help drain a friend's flooded yard, clearing brush and hurling at coyotes menacing the chicken coop.
