Of course, that's ridiculous, because there's no way we could have even those primitive hosts in the next few years, but I guess they didn't want to go too far.

Yep. Light bulb moment. I could swear the door wasn't there at first and then it was, as if you were watching from Bernard's point of view.
The one thing I loved about this show is how Dr. Ford explains concepts like the "Bicameral Mind" etc. in such a way it's not dumbed down but a dummy like me can understand.

I watched the pilot (or at least started to) a few weeks back and decided no,this wasn't for me. I enjoyed the movie but this didn't grab me.If I'm honest I didn't get 20 minutes into it before stopping. My one failing is not giving stuff a chance.
My brother then said I should give it another go so I did and now I'm hooked.
And then I discovered it starred Thandie Newton who I think is just drop dead gorgeous.I've loved her since I first saw her in The Chronicles of Riddick (Dame Vaako). The boobies were just the icing on the cake.

Nice to see that you are giving it another chance Chucky. The show is a very slow burn but things really start to pick up and pay off by episode 7.

She was also in Mission Impossible II, which I'm surprised you didn't see before Riddick as it was 4 years. Unless you don't watch films like MI, of course.

Yeah, I think MI 2 is when I first noticed Thandie. She was really great in Chronicles of Riddick.
