Why is it good?

You can swap between games without needing to remember any keys at all as you can set one up for each game.Just run any game and go straight away.

If you haven't bought Wings Over The Reich (WOTR) yet, don't hesitate as you only have to set up axis controls and a fire button - the rest are done for you!!

Can use with a phone or a tablet (Android).

Quicker and easier than using a keyboard (not need to hold shift keys or look for a key).

For me a keyboard breaks immersion.

For Il2-1946, Xplane and Falcon BMS (just starting) I use 3 different third party tablet controllers that were made specifically for each one.

So I prefer using a tablet.

Its a bit like having a customized simpit for each one - if you try it you may agree.

If any issues or want changes please let me know.

It looks better than the grainy previews suggest smile

Response time is fantastic and it doesn't disconnect or crash

How to install?

to install sim dashboard and get it running takes only a few minutes:

1) PC - download and install the PC program
https://www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/

2) Phone/tablet - install the app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.stryder_it.simdashboard&hl=en_US

3) have both running

4) on the phone/tablet app press the 3 dots top-right for settings then choose "setup your pc" and there is a wizard.

5) Then - Note you need to make a SINGLE BUTTON BOX - then put in 3 BLANK PAGES (in Android app search for my name "Fang" - then for each page choose 1 of the 3 pages. That way a single press will take you to the next page eg I prefer to press the top left corner to go to each page.

Background images are (c) 2020 OBD Software - only for use within Sim Dashboard for use with Wings Over the Reich.

Thanks to Polovski for the cool metal background panel smile

Btw I initially made one for the greatest space game Evochron Legacy (like Elite Dangerous but without the time wasting and with far more content) which also works with its sister program Arvoch Alliance (think Wing Commander/Free Space like missions story) - can use TrackIR if you have it and joystick setup is easy - has great dogfighting - also has a community modpack:

Hi Evochron,

Do you know if it is possible to run an android app on PC, perhaps Bluestacks and then use this solution?
I have on my system a pair of 8" usb touch screeen monitors.

I have been using them with Thrustmaster MFD panels - but this looks interesting.

Regards,

Okay, Guess when I have some time, I take a look - see if I can figure it out.

At this time I do not use the touch screen aspect of them.
I have the MFD mounted on them and display images of the key mapping for the MFD's
Different mappings and different images for different games.

Wow, far out, awesome simpit you have there!! smile

Ah, I should have explained...to install sim dashboard and get it running takes only a few minutes:

That is all, very little effort and time to get going. The app is intuitive so its easy to do.

edit - added to first post.

Welcome Evochron I also fly Evochron Legacy occasionally, having had Mercenary previously
RL has kept me away from flying WOFF WOTR and of course Legacy it's a pity I own iOS tablets and phone because this looks really good,

I sincerely hope you're enjoying OBD,S sims they really are brilliant, their a team of 2 with a few volunteers/testers I believe and like Vice with his Evochron projects they listen to the community and add new features and continue to patch regularly..your in great hands with these Devs thumbsup

hi adger, yes for me too RL keeps me much busier than i would like to be. i bought a teclast t20 from aliexpress and its very nice indeed and cheap. the whole point is that i can swap between evochron legacy, strike fighters 2, woff and wotr with my sim dashboards and il2 1946 and falcom bms (havent actually played yet) with 3rd party apps all without needing to remember keys and buttons. which is my way of saying i believe its worth it because all of those solutions are android based.

yes i am enjoying both wotr and woff. just flew first 3 campaign missions for wotr and it looks great and feels very immersive. awesome sims!!

i have been a beta tester for vice and experienced just how much he truly does take on feedback. likewise polovski has been very helpful with all my pms!

Evochron. I realize this thread is over 3 years old, but I bought this yesterday. The WOTR profile works well. I did notice a programming error.

TAC Range and Panel Lights are both programmed as control/shift/L. So TAC range does not work. (should be control/shift/T)

Thanks for your profile.
