Me thinks Tarnsman likes Zenyatta Mondatta. Yeah, it's a really good album, maybe even better than Synchronicity.

The beginning of this piece reminds me of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", walking through a town with a night-scoped sniper rifle. Gets crazy at the 9 min. mark.

...also caught the new Talking Heads, uh Pearl Jam song
Dance Of The Clairvoyants
Was wondering how this wasn't posted already and it was, I must have missed it.
I think it's ok. Maybe not up there with "Burning Down the House" or "Once in a Lifetime", but I'd say on par with "And She Was" which isn't bad.

Finally about to have our first Russian lesson (making tea as I type, to be served in Russian tea glasses/holders and sweetened by black cheeries...an attempt at atmosphere).
One day I'll understand this Russian Hillbilly music and maybe even learn how to do that dance they do...
Отава Ё – Сумецкая (русские частушки под драку) Otava Yo - russian couplets while fighting...

Every other month or so I look over my music library and try to figure out what I'm missing, usually a forgotten guitar-heavy slower jam that reminds me of my teenage years (preferably with a little heartbreak thrown in vs. positive sap). This style of music motivates me like no other, to push myself physically (currently training for several 5k's, two in one day on the 29th) and to appreciate what I have.
I'd remembered just a couple of broken lyrics from this gem and finally through searches, I figured out what it was (and I'd never even heard of this Dutch band)...

Wow, I remember this song from back in the day hearing it here but totally forgot about Vandenberg as a band back in the 80's. It looks like this song was it for them and the guitarist Van Den Burg ended up in Whitesnake not long after this.
I was poking through that list from the Monsters of Rock cruise I posted a little ways back and pulled this one up that I rocked to on the radio back in the 80's
David, now it's my turn to say, "Wow!" regarding "Honeymoon Suite - New Girl Now - 1984." At first it sounded only vaguely familiar until the chorus, and then I thought, "Oh yeah, I've heard this one."
Going straight to queue for next monthly music purchase (Amazon MP3).

No matter what I listen to, rock, blues, punk, soul or whatever. Eventually I always come back to Amy.
