Thanks guys, she was a cool build. I have a ton of leftover grass so i'm thinking i might be able to mist different browns and greens on it and base up some other models. I will probably have to invest in a jigsaw so i can cut some ovals and mix it up a bit.

Hey Ajay

I have an electric jigsaw (scroll saw) that was my Fathers and I have never had the time to use it since he passed away.

You can have it if you wish as it would be good to see it go to a good home and someone who will get use out of it.
I used it to make my RC models, have enough now and not making any more.

Cheers

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Ahhhh, hand tools.

Nice to see people remember them.

A "modern" scroll saw:

Cool thing is with the hand saw you could just cut yourself, With the "modern" one you might amputate things. eek

I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Been looking on Ships of Scale and amazed at some of the builds on there, mention was of a lot of the model parts are laser cut but it leaves charred and blackened edges that have to be cleaned up. Maybe in the not too distant future a "laser Scroll Saw" will be in people's workshops at home.

I was looking for a simple model of the Bonhomme Richard and followed the links to that site and seen the build of this model https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/uss-bonhomme-richard-1779-1-48.3383/page-11

Still looking for that "simple" model smile

Great work as always Ajay! That big ole' prop looks like it beats the air to death, I love it.

Yeah it's what i'd call...chunky. Makes the 190 and 109 look rather lacking in the prop department!

Any sailing ship is going to be complicated with all the rigging and lines.

It's been a long time since I built a model, any model, but I did like building sailing ships back when I was a teenager... mind you the eyesight was much better then biggrin
