Noob to F18, I dont seem able to get radio operational prior to starting engine!

Yes after engine start OK, but doesnt seem like APU powers radio....hmmmm.

What am I missing?

Contacting, ground seems to be battery dependent.

After config, external grnd and appropriate com channel, can do.

In summary:

• Turn on battery
• Request ground power
• Config external ground switches
• Tune corresponding com radio
