I know that we have wishlist topic, but this one will be different - let's daydream a little bit. Some features easier to implement, some will take pretty much time and effort, but still possible. I've not included things that already in progress - like detailed avionics or graphics improvements (and possible VR support).
Nothing from this list is in my TODO list so it will be long time poll, probably will be helpful for future improvements. Several options can be selected.

- Key mapping for keyboard commands sounds like an easy task, but problem that it was not planned since the beginning - too much code should be replaced and conflicts between helicopters solved. It mentioned really often, so I believe it will be #1

- Do you want to take a recon mission on Humvee? Or maybe shoot some enemies from T-72? Or take a role of commando and capture enemy base on foot? That's pretty possible, especially because we have working suspension dynamics.

- What about taking a role of SAM battery commander? Like it happen in SAM simulator - you just sit half hour and looking into monitor. Pretty fun, in some way.

- Currently payload data stored in some sort of presets. So you can't change amount of flares for example, or set assimetric payload on your choise. Breaking this limit is challenging task as, again, it was not planned since the beginning.

- If you tired to see how AI helicopters jumping and making hard curves, you may want to see at least sometihing similiar to what players have. That will required to replace current autopilot with something really advanced, and also to add CPU multi threads support as such calculations will affect FPS in a very bad way.

- Jets control was mentioned lately, and many years ago, and probably many-many years ago too. This game can't be best jet simulator at least because of maps size, but still it may add some fun. Good thing that half of the code are common for fixed wings and helicopters, and adding simple flight model is not a big deal, but cockipts may take a lot of time for routin manipulations.

- If it will be possible to install mods or updates from single place in one click, then life will became easier for players. But same time will require some extra manipulations from mod authors to prepare files and fill required content like description, version number and images gallery.

- We had GWUT editor utility in the past, but source code lost and exe no longer works with current tables. But what if editor will be injected in the game itself? So you can apply and test changes in real time from pause display, and also it will not outdate because using same variables as game itself.

- It's not a problem to add new weapon types, but problem to learn AI to use them. Especially that they already have troubles with old weapons with updated guidance, new types will cause even bigger issues.

Which features you wish to see in the EECH?
multiple choice, up to 5 choices

For me better ai fm, but I'm afraid fps, difficult choice frown
imo does not make sense to make this game anything other than a helicopter simulator, and most of your proposals do more ARMA than simulations of helicopters.
Simonalsonso give great imo idea when group vehilces is attacked, spread like in dcs, it is great, low cost and raises realism.good that you came back btw.

a little more accurate:
key mapping- everybody is using some external program, no problem.
This is a very big interference in the game code and can cause many problems.

Configurable payload-one of the good ideas.
Game launcher with mods installer-one of the good ideas.
GWUT editor included in the game-one of the good ideas.
Bombs, torpedoes or any other missing weapon types-one of the good ideas.
better ai autopilot -it's always a pleasure to look at flying helicopters, but not at the expense of high fps consumption.maybe some compromise can be added only autohover Javelin?
sam vehicles infantry jets controllable, robots etc- for what?there are many aircraft simulators, battlefields, and soldiers. The helicopter simulator is only eech and dcs.and let it stay that way.

For me, I think keymapping, Game launcher with mods installer, and configurable payloads are good goals to aim for.

I'm not sure about the GWUT editor, as things can get very broken with only small changes. I think I might also have the GWUT editor code somewhere, but it was created using dephi (or something I can't remember), so I couldn't get it to compile. Anyway, it probably wouldn't be difficult to create one in Python, as it just writes a csv file.

I think too, thats not necessary to add other vehicle than helicopters.

EECH is one of the two military helicopter sims we have today, so no need for other vehicles. For this you can use ARMA or Steelbeasts etc.

AND it's the only helo-sim at the moment with really interesting helicopters like the AH-64D, the AH-1Z, the OH-58D, the MI-24 and the MI-28.

In DCS we have to wait years before we will see an AH-64 or a MI-28. At the moment the MI-24 and the Kiowa are in development, but it will also take a lot of time since they are really finished. A MBB Bo-105 (PAH1) is also in development but all those helos aren't really gunships, except the MI-24.

So EECH will still be the only real attack-helicopter sim for the next years. I think if we should add something, we should go for more advanced, modernized cockpits and maybe some other helicopters from the coldwar time, like an AH-1F Cobra.

A keymapping would really be fine, but if it takes too much effort I think we should leave it at the moment. There are so many other things that should be finished first.

Hi Guys.

My opinion:

1 Vehicles, Sam and artillery moving when they are attacked

2 Night effects with explosions and shots

3 Wingman options, bob up issues and others

4 Dificulty level linked with several gwut files ( like Civilian done...)

5 Glass cokpits effects, broken when unther fire, wet when go in clouds or near the water

I'm really no fan of those exuberant plans, like other controlable vehicle than helicopters or exorbitant graphic-engine improvements/changes.

You can see it in every mod for every flightsim, if things change that will make the allready done hard work incompatible, people and especially modder will leave it or nothing will ever be functional again, what was already possible in the preceding versions.

Look at Falcon BMS 4.34 at the moment. The F/A-18 and the AV-8B still have bugs that never exist in 4.33, theaters are incompatible, addons planes already done are incompatible, a lot of thirdparty software is now incompatible too and this is the state for nearly one year now.

You can also see the same here in EECH Allmods, just compare 1.15.4 with 1.16.0! Why always reinventing the wheel, instead of finishing allready existing work and add new contend like other helos, better cockpits and maybe some more details to the existing world. EECH will never be DCS in reference about graphics etc. So why wasting precious time with extra complex things instead of making the best out of what we have at the moment.

I favor to fly different helicopters in different missions in a not so good looking terrain, but with action on the ground and simple objects to hide behind like more bushes, trees or buildings. All this can also be done with what we have at the moment and many of the existing choppers in the game are still far away from finish. So I think the focus should be there.

AND look at those flightsim mods, where fundamental things not always change or tried to get better, like Strike Fighters 2 or IL-2 1946.

There exist tons of new aircraft, theatre and campaigns. Much more interesting in my opinion, instead of always having a never finished test-platform!

Personally, I'd like the ability to export the HUD to another screen. Those of us with pits based on EECH could then make monocle systems (maybe).

Also, to have the left/right views as separate outputs (as you can do in Microsoft Flight Simulator).

Anyway, keep up the good work guys !!
