This is what happens when people get animal that are not natural to their environment as pets.

Iguanas are not native to Florida.

They were introduced to the state as pets.

Florida also has problem with Burmese pythons.

Someone had them as pets and decide not to care for them and release them into the everglades.

Some as long as 17-20 feet have been found.

Because Pythons don't have a predator higher than they are, they are multiplying like crazy.
