I finally made it out to Colonia a few days ago so I could unlock the two engineers in that area and engineer my fuel scoop. I'm now currently en route to the center of Sagittarius A!

Not to hijack, but y'all should try Star Citizen this week--free fly event! If interested, let me know and I'll hook you up with how, plus a 5000 credit starting bonus.

I would have jettisoned myself before I even got out of the bubble in a T-9. That's it boys, I'm outta here! I cain't stands it no mo!

As for Star Citizen..... it's tempting, but I don't want my first exposure to be while it's so half-assed. There may be fun to be had, awes to be had, but there's a lot of frustration baked in as well, and I'll pass once more. I've been interested in it for years, and I'm critical of CIG. But I plan to wait until it's ready, if that ever comes to be.

I like reading your posts Chucky as I mentioned in another thread. It's a window in to the state of the game. Comments from folks like you, who I feel I 'know' in some sense, are more valuable than any from random dudes on the net. So keep posting, I'm reading smile

For example I learned of the existence of Area 18 from your post, then googled it to see what it's all about. Looks really cool and I want to experience that! But I feel compelled to wait as I've said.

Enjoy the trip, Panzer. It was fantastic when I finally arrived at Sagittarius A*. The view is awesome, but the sense of scale even more so, for me.

Thanks adlabs! I'll be continuing the journey today. Yesterday was all about auto racing and Borderlands! smile

Hahah! I remember back when I made my trip, before engineers even existed. My 30LY Asp Explorer had very long legs!

I'm less than 90 jumps away from Sag A. I should get there later today or by tomorrow at the latest.

Long trip, bon voyage.
I did the Colonia- Sag A dogleg recently, but I cone boosted in an 80ly jumpaconda,. which gets to Colonia in approx. 95 jumps. It's easy to forget fuel stops doing that so I carry a class 7 aux. fuel tank which means I only need to scoop 4 times coming back from Sag A, about 110 jumps at 250 ly per. A 3A afmu will just provide the 5 fsd repairs required.

My next trip will be to Beagle Point but not for a while. I'm still enjoying doing lots of combat in my Federal Corvette. smile

So tomorrow is the big day for me. I'll be leaving the Sirius system in my Asp Explorer and starting my journey to Beagle Point which is just a mere 65,285 LY away.

Wish me luck!

Whew. Better bring a sandwich!

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”
