A friend was cleaning out his games collection and he gave me this among with other games, a few of the others will not install on my PC, something about my OS being 64 bit.
I am playing the Federation vs ISC campaign.
How do you complete and win in a campaign?
I know every race has different color so I travel through the maps to get to the ISC part of the map.
Their color is like a dark pink magenta.
To get there I have to travel through other section belonging to other races and play several missions along the way.
But it's the same thing over and over: patrol, monster, scout, ambush the enemy, attack a convoy, patrol again, the occasional attack a spacedock or starbase or scan a planet.
Took me a couple of days to figure out if an offered mission doesn't say FORFEIT next to it, I can skip that mission and move on.
A couple of the sectors I have been in turned blue after I completed a mission in it.
But nothing else is happening and going from sector to sector and taking mission after mission so far away from Federation space and a starbase is taking heavy toll on my ship with no way to fix and resupply it.
To win the campaign, do I just keep going from sector to sector in the ISC part of the map over and over and take mission after mission, even the ones you can skip, until every ISC sector turn blue?
TiA!
note: I did find a 130+ pages manual of the game in PDF format online but it doesn't tell you how to win a campaign, only how to use all the controls on the ship.

Yes I played this back in 2000-2001 when it was originally released. The first SFC came out in 1999. If I remember correctly, you win the campaign when you have destroyed enough of the the enemy space stations. The game doesn't indicate how many that is.

No problem. I seem to recall I was playing the campaign as the Federation and just suddenly I got a splash screen saying that I won the campaign. It just came out of nowhere.

I have been playing the past few hours and there has been 3 missions that were different from the usual repetitive patrol, monster, scout, ambush the enemy, attack a convoy, patrol again, the occasional attack a spacedock or starbase or scan a planet.
Not sure what triggers them and I was just moving around from sector to sector still in Federation space while on my way to ISC space which takes so much work, time, and resources just to get there.
I am going to randomly move around in Federation space for a while to see if any other different mission gets triggered.

I remember those games. There was an SC3 that was set in the TNG timeframe that I quite enjoyed as well.

I found my old SFC2 disk and installed it, I can't seem to get it to recognize keyboard input to type in the reg key. What compatibility settings do you use?

My only guess at this point is a game bug with the campaign. This game hasn't had a patch in years and I'm assuming you are playing this under Win 10?

The last Star Trek PC game I played was I believe Elite Force 2 which came out in 2003! I can't think of any Star Trek PC titles that were made after 2003.

Dynaverse is responsable for the mods (at least the most noticeables) that fixed/enhaced SFC: OP, which acording to the fans is the best after the original SFC (Gold).
The patch must be for one of the mods.
I had SFC: OP modded installed sometime ago, but can´t remember which mod or HD mod I had. I think there was another site with another important mod but can´t recall which.
