I thought this was kinda interesting, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the SyFy channel is doing:

There’s a caveat with SyFy. It does have a decent sized audience but not enough to support anything with a considerable production budget like “The Expanse” or “Caprica” both of which were cancelled due to insufficient ratings. Their current scripted shows like “Wynona Earp” and “The Magicians” are much cheaper to produce.

Yeah, that's kind of a bummer, but I thought they would be lower. They're ahead of the National Geographic Channel (I'm not sure what that says about society), Cartoon Network, ESPN2, and Comedy Central, among others. At least they probably won't pull the plug, which is more where I thought they would be.

I wasn’t surprised about Comedy Central being so low. Their only remaining hit show is South Park and the Daily Show doesn’t have nearly the audience it used to have since Jon Stewart left.

It'll be interesting to see how The Hallmark Channel does in the coming months.

I hear they're already casting for an original movie for next Christmas, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Mommy Underneath the Mistletoe Last Night". They're calling it "a guaranteed ratings winner". Yeah, for The History Channel.
