This Christmas let us all raise a glass to the friends we have lost this year. You will all have your own to remember, but especially those from this forum let us remember.

"You'll never take me alive" said he,
And his ghost may be heard if you pass by that billabong
"Who'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me?"

Indeed.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

I'll raise my glass to that .... remembering them on these forums or anywhere at SimHQ certainly does them honor

I still find myself ocassionally thinking about Positive G, Airdrop, Murphy and Destructis. I never met any of them in person but all of them seemed to be great guys who left us way too early.

Here's to them. They are not forgotten, just thanked.

Of those names I knew Destructis the least, but will never forget a song he posted in my "Lost '80s rock songs" thread (7/2/13)...

"Shooting Star - Last Chance"

"Stand up on your feet
'Cause your life is short as hell
You could be dead tomorrow

Today may be your last chance
To believe in yourself
Your last chance to yell
Your last chance
To be good to yourself
Your last chance
To drink from life's well"

I'd never even heard of the song before...it really moves me now.

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in
Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run

I do the same PM.

Great folks all.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet.
I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.
