Just watched The Bounty. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086993/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2I've seen this film a few times and it is always a treat to watch. The way the camera gives a close up of Bligh's face (Anthony Hopkins) along with the lighting effects when he challenges the men is marvellous, (especially when talking about going round the horn) he really is a great actor. I have NEVER been disappointed with any performance by Anthony Hopkins. He's one of those actors who is always great even when he's in a crappy movie. He just exudes gravitas on screen. Totally agree. He even made "Magic" enjoyable for me.

"Watched "The Irishman" a few days ago. Not really impressed."
Yeah, me niether. Got about halfway through it. These guys can do this kind of stuff with their eyes closed, now. They're just phoning it in. I had a hard time watching De Niro playing a young guy in his twenties. When he was kicking that guy who pushed his daughter he looked as stiff as a rod. When Peschi waas on the phone talking about De Niro's character and saying, "Hey, I've got this kid I want you to meet!" Kid!!!? I almost had to laugh.

........ De Niro playing a young guy in his twenties. When he was kicking that guy who pushed his daughter he looked as stiff as a rod. I noticed the same thing a couple of times. They could make his face look somewhat younger but they couldn't make his body move like a young man. Should have hand a young actor do those parts and CGI DeNiros face onto him.

Quite a change of pace from his other films that he directed. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077889/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

6 Underground (2019) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8106534/How a movie like this that cost 150 mil to produce make any money by being on Netflix without a theatrical release? Doesn't a movie need to make twice its production cost to make a profit? This is a movie with a confusing story. It's also just several noisy quickly edited action scenes containing lots of explosions and stunts and chases, all put together to make a whole, the whole being an incoherent not so hot mess. The 20 minutes long opening car chase is absolutely absurd and ridiculous. Everyone should be dead. The only good thing about this film is the actress who played Shosanna in Inglorious Basterds is in it. She is pretty easy on my eyes.

I Tried to watch this movie, but after 20mn gave up and went back Amazon Prime and the 4th season of the Expanse. Far better.

Knives Out. How is this 96% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes? Difficult story to follow. Annoying characters: I didn't give a hoot who was innocent or guilty of murder. Daniel Craig was laughable to me as French detective: his attempt at faking a French accent was gawd awful. Go back to your Bond role, Danny Boy!

Baa Baa Black Sheep How have I not see this before? Sure, it shows its age but every minute is pure entertainment. And those beautiful, beautiful Corsairs! I saw many episodes of this when I was a small kid in the late 70's. I really didn't get what was going on as far as the big picture with WWII but the planes were sure nice to look at. And yeah, the show has not aged well due to the campy sit-com style acting.
