The journey begins with that installer and those 29 downloaded parts. Go here for the rest of it. Bat is very playable with only the initial 29 entries but each succeeding add on gives more improvements to the game and much new content. Each upgrade and they are indeed upgrades, results in a more stable game operation and with installers it is hard to mess it up. It is a huge endeavor to install it all but patience will be rewarded with air war and peace, mostly war though , from WWI through today. The link above should take you to the list below: BAT installation Order April 2019 - read latest BAT installation manual - Il2 4.12.2m - BAT main package parts 1 - 29 (this post) - Check your setup and dlls (for details see post below under 2] HIGH DEFINITION DYNAMIC LINK LIBRARY - BATDLLS-01 OR BATDLLS-02?) - BAT 3.0 Checkpoint Charlie - BAT 3.1 Sealion - BAT 3.2 Angels High - BAT 3.3 Pathfinder - BAT 3.4 Linebacker - BAT 3.5 Musketeer - BAT 3.6 The Blitz - BAT 3.7 Le Grand Cirque + BAT 3.7.2 Patch please make sure you are always on the latest update for fixes and patches. always use the installer.exe. There are also missions and campaigns available for nearly all eras of flight. Hope all goes well.

I transferred the game into a C:/Program files/Ubisoft and I'm 'adding' BAT as I type....here's hoping--so far it's chugging away beyond what it did before. That little factoid not to use Program Files(x86) seems to be working

Cloyd Curious; I loaded the file to folders just marked "game'" off the C drive and I got 'bupkiss' but it functioned OK when it went into 'C:/Program Files..."; anyway the real problem was my 4.08 patch didn't want to go to the directory I wanted. It had a 'preset directory' that I couldn't change. We'll see how this progresses. I might just add everything to the C:/Program files and just upload ALL the patches (the 29 BAT chapters as well as the Checkpoint Charlie and Operation Sealion) and then see what happens. I can store the 'patched but pre-modded' game in an external hard in cases things go sideways 'in the end'.

SAS has a 4.12.2 mega patch that takes a 4.07 stock install directly to 4,12,2 and is great ,,Maybe try that patch to eliminate patching errors OK I'll download the megapatch & see what happens--I'll check back in 2020.

OK, I only JUST found out that angels high, pathfinder, linebacker, the blitz & le grande cirque also need to be added--I stopped at Sealion. I will see what's what next. I am assuming each 'patch' comes with it's own 'installer' that will unzilp and install whatever I downloaded.

jsgme is a program located in your main il2 directory. OK; but from the 'help' I got at SAS I was given the impression that if it wasn't activated I don't need to deactivate it. IF that's true then I shall press on.

You 'd better launch the game after installing each pack, if something goes wrong it's easier to repair when you know what has broken it. It is DONE! And it seems to work, though I probably need to dig a little bit into the installation stuff to try to find the pretty new GUIs they promised and perhaps a quick mission map and a campaign or two that I might really enjoy==but bombing things with HE177s and shooting down poorly armed obsolete aircraft never gets old, doncha know.
