Yes, a very good point. Plus there was the problem that the movie was poorly cast. There was close to zero chemistry between the actors who portrayed the crew.

More on Romulus (contains some spoilers).

If what this article said about Cameron and Scott approval of the Final Cut and the production values and standards changed from a HULU release to a theatrical release before the first scene was ever filmed, I am beginning to have a bit of hope that it will be decent.

If Scott and Cameron gave their thumbs up to the rough cut viewing of the film then there is indeed some hope. We'll find out in August.

This makes me happy. I love Keaton - I still make sure I watch Mr Mom at least once a year. NFB - watch it, brilliant 80's film.

I remember watching "Mr. Mom" with my parents in the movie theater back in 1983. What is most interesting to me is how the premise of the film was considered "edgy" at the time but now it would most likely be considered "quaint".

No. It's just another desperate attempt to try and bring in more people to movie theaters.

It doesn't matter what they remove from The Phantom Menace it will still be a stinking pile of dog doodoo.

A guy walks into a bar and hears two women speaking in a British accent. He asks, "Are you ladies from England?" One says to him "No, it's Wales, you idiot!" So, then the guy says, "Okay, sorry. So, are you two whales from England?"

How old were you? Admittedly, the Phantom Menace was a huge hit with kids at the time. It was mostly the adult fans who saw the original trilogy as kids who didn't like it (including me).

Why are you sensationalizing a non-issue? As you said, just wait and you can eventually see part 2 for fee on streaming.

Alien Screening in Cinemas for 45th Anniversary!

The last time we had a wide re-release of the original Alien in cinemas was 2017, where a special Alien Day screening was paired with preview footage for the then upcoming Alien: Covenant. Now with Alien: Romulus on the horizon, 20th Century Studios has announced on social media that the original Alien will once again be returning to theaters for Alien Day and the film’s 45th Anniversary.

Currently confirmed cinemas in the US are AMC, Cinemark, and Regal. We don’t have concrete details if this screening is also planned for the UK, so we’ll keep you posted.

The re-release comes ahead an upcoming “Alien” TV series from “Fargo” and “Legion” creator Noah Hawley,

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13623632/

and this Summer’s Fede Alvarez-directed film “Alien: Romulus” which unfolds between the events of “Alien” and “Aliens”.

Regarding the next Mission: Impossible movie coming in 2025, I heard this quote the other day: "After eight Mission: Impossible movies, I'm starting to believe that these missions are, in fact, possible."

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Considering the under-performance of the last MI movie at the box office it seems the franchise has finally run out of steam anyway.

Just watch it on 4k. It will look even better than it will on a movie theater screen.
