Das Boot season 4 just dropped on UK Sky Atlantic.

Amazon Prime USA had season 1 and that was it. They never had season 2 and 3. But Amazon UK has season 2 and 3 on their Prime but you can't see it outside of UK, I tried, with VPN showing I'm in UK or in Europe, it didn't fool Amazon.

Several publications considered it to be among the best books of 2014. The novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and was shortlisted for the National Book Award. Intersting info on the lead actress

Aria Mia Loberti makes her acting debut in the leading role of Marie-Laure Leblanc in Netflix's adaptation of All The Light We Cannot See. She landed the part after a global casting search, beating out thousands of submissions to secure the role, despite no acting training. A doctoral student at Penn State, Loberti received her Masters in 2021 from Royal Holloway University of London as a Fulbright Scholar and earned her undergraduate degrees in 2020 from the University of Rhode Island. She is also an advocate for disability equity.

I will watch it but I do want to quote my friend Indiana:

Zero interest in the plot. I'll pass.

This is interesting but they couldn't cast better?

Adam Driver, Shia LeBoof, Jason Schwarzman. There are better actors than them.

Wow

Is he really that old in life or did they make him up to look that old?

This entire movie project is so bizarre to me. Coppolla is still pretending that it's the 1970's when a movie like this could actually have appeal to the masses. It's going to be a huge box office flop.

He's 70 but he's playing a WWII veteran in that movie so they put make up on to make him look like he's over 90.

Thank you Panzer.

I didn't think Brosnan has gotten that old at 70.

Coppola for me will always be Godfather 1 &2 and Apocalypse Now.

None of his other 75 movies (IMDB) he directed or produced will ever surpass or match those 3 films.

"The Conversation" was highly praised by the critics when it came out in 1974 but it's largely a forgotten film except by film buffs. I think "Bram Stoker's Dracula" was also pretty good but not on the same level as the three films you mentioned.

At 84 Coppolla does what he wants, whether it makes money or not

Is The Last Rifleman just another Great Escaper?

Similar stories. But as long as they make movies about such people I will watch them. Much better than the usual fare.
