Does political correctness have mass appeal ? Are they making financial gain ? (movie/television industry) or are they losing ? perhaps slowly it will pay off. It has been indoctrinated in the younger generations for a while now.
I assume the Bud Light fiasco has to be a bit of a measuring stick of society.
I guess I am just old man yelling at cloud guy. And quite fine with it.

Anyone drinking Bud Light in the first place is already in trouble.

Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd (Trailer)
So far I only see UK theater release dates (May 15th) SidBarrettFilm.com
I am not particularly a big fan of the Sid Barrett years. But his impact on the band is undeniable. He is referenced in most of their albums after his departure. Either directly (SOYCD, Wish You Were Here) or indirectly in the topic of madness. Parts of the album, and the movie The Wall, have references to him.

There's no doubt that Syd Barrett had talent and unfortunately the drugs destroyed his productivity instead of enhancing it. Having said that, I'm also not a fan of the two Syd Barrett-era albums. I've listened to them a couple of times to see if my impression changes but nope.

I like 2 songs off A Saucerful Of Secrets. Remember A Day, sung (and written) by Richard Wright, and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. I think this maybe the point Roger stepped up. STCFTHOTS really put him in the limelight.

Speaking of PC in movies, there was a trailer for the new Indiana Jones movie I saw last week and there was a line that went "you stole it, then you stole, then I stole it... it's called capitalism"
They just assured that I won't be watching.
I can ignore a lot of preaching in a movie if it is otherwise well-made, but that moment in the trailer also made me lose a lot of interest. I will still be watching it, because it is Indiana Jones, but the blatant preaching is getting a bit over the top, even for us Europeans If it had added to the movie, then it could make sense, but most of it is blatantly obvious preaching added just because, and that tends to detract from the movie rather than add to it. My guess is that all the preaching will date today’s movies in the same way we instantly spot movies from the 80s and early 90s today by the style of clothing and hair, heavy use of synth music and campy dialogue.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I'll be seeing that on the big screen for sure. I don't care if I'll owe my wife 5 chick flicks.
