Also in several U.S. States who do not have reciprocity when it comes to the CCW / CHL .

California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York.

plus

District of Columbia, New York City.

Finally, his son was lucky he was in a state like Arizona that not only it fully recognize a CCW/CHL from another state,

Arizona is also one of the few states where you can conceal or open carry a handgun without needing a license/permit.

Glad the good guy came out safe and sound.
Of course, also glad he used his head and did the right thing.
Thank you, Sir!

Yes we have to muddle through arming ourselves with Narwhal Tusks and fire extinguishers like these brave men taking down a terrorist on London Bridge yesterday. Hope these brave chaps don't get arrested for going equipped, and racially aggravated assault as have occurred in previous cases of self defence here.

I'll revise my previous comment and state that I would have been happy to point my pistol at that POS.

Well my son did have one item he wasn't going to surrender to them - he pulled out his Glock 17 and told both of the armed robbers to get on the ground. They immediately did and the police arrived moments later to arrest a 19 year old and a 21 year old. My son was "thankful" that he didn't have to kill them and the police told him in Arizona he would have been perfectly within his right to do so under the circumstances. When one of the police officers saw my sons Texas DL he said, "no wonder you had a gun - you're from Texas!"

I woulda dumped on them... slide locked back and barrel so hot its white...

Haggart, your son's quick thinking and trigger control is an example to all of us. Guys like him give responsible gun owners a good name.
