Glad to hear he wasn't hurt, Haggart. AND glad to hear that he wasn't forced to fire his weapon. "Perfectly within his rights" doesn't make having to live with taking someone's life any easier. A lot to be thankful for, all things considered.
SALUTE TO ALL!

That took a cool head and a lot of nerve. Glad he came through OK. Yep. Very glad it turned out well for your son.

Very glad the situation turned out the way it did. I've had to point a gun at another human one time and that was enough.

thanks guys appreciate the kind words - I wouldn't be surprised if those two knuckleheads get out and try their luck at robbing a beer tavern

Your son would have most likely been arrested in several different European countries including the UK. . Also in several U.S. States who do not have reciprocity when it comes to the CCW / CHL . California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York. plus District of Columbia, New York City. Finally, his son was lucky he was in a state like Arizona that not only it fully recognize a CCW/CHL from another state, Arizona is also one of the few states where you can conceal or open carry a handgun without needing a license/permit.

Your son would have most likely been arrested in several different European countries including the UK. I'm glad to see he's ok. Yes we have to muddle through arming ourselves with Narwhal Tusks and fire extinguishers like these brave men taking down a terrorist on London Bridge yesterday. Hope these brave chaps don't get arrested for going equipped, and racially aggravated assault as have occurred in previous cases of self defence here.

I'll revise my previous comment and state that I would have been happy to point my pistol at that POS.

Thankful that my son was not hurt last night. He & his friend were in a Walgreens in Tucson, AZ, when two armed robbers entered the store. One robber pulled a knife and asked the clerk to give him all his cash from the register. The other robber also pulled out a knife and came toward by son demanding he give all his money and any other items he had to him. Well my son did have one item he wasn't going to surrender to them - he pulled out his Glock 17 and told both of the armed robbers to get on the ground. They immediately did and the police arrived moments later to arrest a 19 year old and a 21 year old. My son was "thankful" that he didn't have to kill them and the police told him in Arizona he would have been perfectly within his right to do so under the circumstances. When one of the police officers saw my sons Texas DL he said, "no wonder you had a gun - you're from Texas!" I woulda dumped on them... slide locked back and barrel so hot its white...
