I was Ordered tp make a Battalion Attack on the town by the Panzer Fuhrer , I used the Heavy Weapons Battalion 399 men, 3 armored cars, 2 Recon cars, 2 SPW's 3 1/2 tracks. of the Panzer Lehr Div. against the Dug in Amis Troops. ( 30th Inf Div ). Est. at 150 men + support Arty and Mortars, I used a 2 prong + diversion attacks with a Recon and armored Car going down the road. Off right Inf. Over the Hill Inf, and switching the probe to the left flank with a 1/w track and 3 platoons Inf, The assault stalled after loosing the AFV's. Losses: 52 KIA, 24 Wnd 10 missing. 1 1/2 track, 1 Recon Car, 1 Heavy Armored Car, 2 Spw's. Leaving the Battalion with 282 Inf, 2 1/2 tracks, 1 Recon car Mg's and a Armored Car 20mm. The problem was No arty support while the enemy had Arty and mortars
