"Supercarrier - "Population" of our new aircraft carrier is not limited to the flight deck but also the sailors and pre-flight crew of the island. Following the early access release, it will later it will be possible to occupy the Air Boss and Landing Signal Officer (LSO) locations in both 2D and VR. All of this will be available in the new DCS: Supercarrier module. In the meantime, please enjoy these work-in-progress images."

will this be a paid module I wonder? maybe combined arms is finally getting a decent update.

I'd pay for the module if it allows me to steer the ship from the bridge. .

Yes of course it's payware, probably if you purchase it immediately after it appears in store, you get 20% discount. Price will probably be 80$.
So it's the same ol' pay to be a betatester, get the discount and do our work for us...

Or pay the full price and suffer the same bugs later.

I don't think they'll let us steer the ships, it's unfortunate, but thank god I still have my yellow rubber duck I can steer that while taking a bath, almost the same you know.

Iceecl, imagine it though. It will give the Grim Reapers more things to mythbust in DCS World. "Can you pretend to be the HMAS Melbourne and run into the USS Frank E. Evans" does it really break the destroyer in half?

Or they can test it running into a russian missile cruiser and pretend it is the HMAS Voyager. After all, the Grim Reapers do like to test real life events in the simulator.

I can see it now in multiplayer servers. "Lets shoot missiles at the aircraft carrier and try and shoot them down with the CIWS in manual mode with out guided radar.

Afterall, half the hillbillies in MP servers over the last couple of years are probably the same hillbillies that have been banned from the Arma 3 servers.

I'd still like to be the air boss swinging the ship into a heavy list and see who can land in cyclonic wind gusts of 120mph.

In all seriousness, it would be good to walk around the deck, up ladders and what not. Maybe ED might implement a jester type function wheel so players in MP can be the shooter etc with hand signals being seen from the cockpit. Hopefully in MP servers, an option can remove the autolaunch function if there is a human player on the deck running the catapult. Probably won't work in every server but I can see clans wanting that function for training and closed ops

I'm eager to see what kind of 'bug' they design to CVN-74 to sell the new module then.

They wouldn't dare, they've turned over a new leaf, Nineline said so winkngrin They've got a new "update" that was planned for tomorrow (20/Nov) to introduce the evidently really difficult to finish "feature" of external lights and center drop tank to the Viper and an antennae (yep you read that right) to the Hornet, but "BIGNEWY" has already started moving the goal line since it looks like they won't be able to deliver, again.

WW2 guys are crying for a WW2 Pacific sim. ED/DCS would inho make a killing.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

DCS WWII will never be a thing. EVER. Folks spending cash on DCS WWII modules just need to find a new way waste cash, maybe burning it.

And not surprising to anyone with more than two brain cells, a "shocking" delay of the scheduled "patch:

Wow they are so über kind to give that nice gift smile A news about VOIP feature, that's so awesome. I have waited a long time to hear a news about that multiplayer feature (which I didn't know even was a thing). It's Super super super when people soon are able to talk with each other in game!! tuner

This great gift was the best ever I've gotten, who cares about weekly news anyway, this one is something else I tell ya. clapping

Who - realistic, could release a WW2 Pacific Theater is 1CGS (Il-2:Great Battles), but the more vocal group in their forum lobby against, they want just more Bf 109's variations. rolleyes

As for DCS, they don't even "finish" that bugged map, empty, soulless Normandy imbroglio.

I think the IL-2 guys will eventually do the pacific theater, at least I hope so! I don't really visit their forums too often but their related FB pages have tons of folks asking for the Pacific to be their next big release.

And of course DCS didn't finish the Normandy map, they can't even seem to deliver on AI cows nope

I believe this is Sokol's first negative post here at SimHQ

I believe this is Sokol's first negative post here at SimHQ

Now that's interesting, I don't see any negativity in his post at all.

Hold my beer Oden......I got this s#*t

Ever been at the table with friends having an in depth conversation with the guys and one of their wives or girl friends chimes in with a comment of their own?.....that's pretty much how I view a post made by Bisher in these forums.

By design. Imagine the response if I actually offered an opinion on anything even closely related to this game. Ha!

Damnit! I've surpassed my 10 word limit. Let the #%&*$# fly biggrin
