That is a very difficult question to answer because it's not just the hardware. Your OS, drivers, other programs, etc.. can play a role.
However, I do recommend you can purchase virtual desktop on steam since they have a return policy. If you don't like it, just return it to steam for a full refund.
Searching the internet on settings for virtual desktop in games will show many hits. Check out youtube as well to see how people do it. If you can get virtual desktop to work where you like it, then it's the cheaper option and you're done. It requires a bit of tweaking settings, test, and repeat. Otherwise, vorpX is $40 and would be an expensive mistake if you don't like it since there is no trial or returns.
Note that I use free track with vorpX. I disable the native vorpX native tracking because it's wonky sometimes with WOFF and does not track.
