Just recently started watching the Netflix sci-fi series "Altered Carbon". I like what I've seen so far.

Those "Has Fallen" action movies with Gerard Butler I simply find to be retarded.

Watching War of the Worlds a Fox Canal+ collaboration, Was actually looking for the BBC Drama which is set in Edwardian Britain and started taping the other one by mistake and boy am I hooked on it, good acting and good tension.
It is not HG Wells' book but more brought up to date and set in France and England, some of the alien tech in it is in use today by the military and just helps ad that edge to it.
Now I wish I could find the BBC series to watch too but cannot find it here in Belgium.

Are there any indigenous Belgian science fiction shows currently airing?

Currently? Hmmm, only kids shows, there is one series that is a cross between Knight Rider's Kitt and Power Rangers, apart from that cannot think of any SciFi
For a typical Belgian film try Rundskop (international title: Bullhead) but it ain't sci fi. There are a few recent animated SciFi films from Belgium but not seen any of them.

Actually, I watched a coupled of Hallmark Films. The names elude me because they were alike in most respects, The Plot lines were identical. , All questions were answered. Un necessary dilog most situations were contrived, predicable, and awkward The Women looked much older for the parts they played. and the men much younger. Amid all the fluff, the casting for the other players looked appropriate and in some cases well acted. The sets looked like Sets and the background music too long and loud . I think in the future, I fine other things to do.

This is because about 95% of the audience for Hallmark is female.

I recently finished watching a full playthrough of Detroit Become Human, yes its a game but the story and cinematics are at least as good as anything Hollywood has done lately IMO.
