So many brave young men, most of them in the early 20's, some in their late teens even, lives wasted because those F******* Nazis thought they were the only race worth living on this planet.

I didn't know the plane is still around and has just been restored and put on display last year:

It was built in July 1942.

That's a 77 years old plane!

Amazing they were able to keep it around all these years when most everything that was built to fight World War II ended up in the junk yard by the 10 of 1000's after the war was over.

I saw it last year when I was in Dayton for the Dawn Patrol airshow. I'd highly recommend anybody in the area to check out the museum there.
I think Netflix still has The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress on it.

Those guys had a tough job with tight quarters, thin air, freezing their asses off, and a high risk of collision. That's not even counting flak and German fighters.
