Erm, but both xml files are not used together - you can use either mod xml or PE xml, so, there is no conflict.

I was referring to when he will copy the code from one xml to the other. That he will need to move one of them because both lines of code have the same location.

Three choices:
1. Use MOD as it is from UE
2. Don't use UE MOD
3. Merge MOD and PE airbase xml files into one. But three different times representing three periods. But careful not to superimpose models with ones that use the same location.

Not sure how else to explain my point.

JJJ65 you said that so clearly and concisely Sir! Well explained!

orbyxP

We are going for is the #4 option below:

4. separate the UE facilities mod into two parts.
One will only contain the custom airfields and this mod can run on either UE or PE with no problems.
The other one will be strictly for UE.

That means that other than the custome airfields, all the remaining airfields defined in PE will remain the same.

Hope that helps

Hi all,
Rob has updated all downloads for this including a new README file, while should be read as it explains which files are needed for either WOFF UE or PE.
All new downloads are now up on the User mods page (Airfields).
The download page has been simplified as well to make it less confusing.

The page is dated 6th November 2019. If you don't see that date, clear your internet cache or refresh the page.

Hi Folks;

I have found a couple of changes that need to be applied to the following mods, so If you have already downloaded them be aware that updates will be coming probably by tomorrow.
The changes do not affect the stability of the mods so if you already have them you can run them and they will not cause any WOFF system errors.

WOFF PE 1 - 1917+ Custom Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red.zip
WOFF UE 1 - 1914+ Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red.zip

Hallo Robert,

at first THANKS for your nice mod. I have used it in UE.

Now my short Feedback:
After PE-Release I have used your PE 2 in Combination with the other UE-files as @Creaghorn on Side 1 here. All was fine.
Then I have downloaded your full PE-Update of your files this week.

Install (mod enabler):
WOFF PE 0 UE
WOFF PE 1 - 1917+ full trees
WOFF PE 2 -
WOFF PE 3b UE
WOFF PE 4a UE

Then test: Quick Combat and ... sorry ... no soldiers or mechanics on the airfield.
Then I have exchanged the PE 1 - 1917+ full trees with UE 1 - 1917+ full trees and all functioned well again.

The same result I have had with a test-Campaign in 1918. After exchange from WOFF PE 1 - 1918+ full trees with WOFF UE 1 - 1918+ full trees all was good.

I can live with this file-exchange and I have absolut no guess about the reason.

Maybe you have an idea.

Thanks and greetings!

Hi Becker01;

I think if you download and read the " ReadMe WOFF UE & PE Consolidated Custom Mods Summary" Ver 2.3 (3 November 2019), all will become clear.

If after reading that you are still having a problem, let me know and I will elaborate in more detail if necessary.

In summary, the mod offers three choices:
1) Using the mod in UE with all airfields fully modified
2) using the mod in PE with all airfields fully modified
3) using the mod in PE with only the custom airfields by RAF_Louvert and myself fully modified and all stock PE airfields un-modified

Best Regards

Okay, now I'm stuck. In a last-ditch effort to make everything work right, I completely uninstalled everything. Re-installed everything - WOFF UE, WOFF PE, and the RJW mods with the Full Trees and the 1914 files. I still don't see the Verdun Forts. If others are seeing them I must be doing something wrong, and I can't figure out what that something. Is anybody else having this problem? What am I doing wrong?

Sailor;

You have only mentioned two components of the "Consolidated Custom Facilities Mods Repository Folder". In order to have the Verdun forts loaded, you also need the following modsactive at the same time:

"WOFF PE 0 UE - Facilities Models by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 2 - Consolidated Periods and CampaignData Mod by RJW"
"WOFF PE 3b UE - Consolidated Custom Facilities Verdun Forts Mod"

Would you confirm that the above two JSGME mods are also loaded.

Best Regards

Sailor you have all the correct requisite mods loaded, so that is good.

Have you tried a different period? Personally I haven't looked for the slag heaps. If my memory is correct (and it frequently isn't lll biggrin ), RAF_LOUVERT created that complex so he might be the person you should PM for insight.

Best Regards

Just now tried a couple of different periods, with no luck. I came here because you're the one who updated the files. I'll try as you suggest and PM him for help. Thanks.

Robert, I just checked on this after receiving a PM from Sailor_Steve. You've forgotten to include in your mod all the "facilities" and "buildings" folders and their related sub folders and files for my forts, which is why they don't show. I am actually surprised the sim doesn't crash or freeze with this mod activated with all those missing bits and pieces. Your microwave must have dinged while you were in the middle of wrapping this one up for Sandbagger. biggrin

Hi Steve;

I just checked the Consolidated mod on my end and the only thing I find missing for the forts mod, is the buildings files that should be in the "WOFF PE 0 UE - Facilities Models by Panama Red" mod.

The "WOFF PE 3b UE - Consolidated Custom Facilities Verdun Forts Mod" is not where the facilites files are located. They are i the appropriate place in the mods shown below:

"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1914+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1917+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1917+ Custom Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1918+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1918+ Custom Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red"

Would you kindly confirm that they are in the above mods on your end?

Best Regards

Robert, I downloaded your "WOFF PE 3b UE - Consolidated Custom Facilities Verdun Forts Mod" from the User Mods Page this morning and, as I noted, it is missing the "facilities" and "buildings" folders and all related sub folders and files. If you are placing all the many mod buildings into PR's Facilities Models that's fine, but that won't address the missing facilities folders and files.

Best Regards

EDIT: Just saw the part about the facilities, I will check there next and let you know. Thanks Robert.

Hi Steve;

All the facilities folders and files reside in the following mods, not in the forts mod:

"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1914+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1917+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1917+ Custom Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1918+ Custom Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red"
"WOFF PE 1 UE - 1918+ Custom Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red"

Hope that clarifies their location

Apologies Robert, I'd forgotten just how you'd grouped things with your consolidated mod suite. After dropping those three missing buildings folders for the forts into my install here, it all displays just as it should. Although, I see that the new PE terrain tiles are also affecting how my forts tie in with the surrounding roads, or now don't in some cases. Ah well, such is life.

Cheers!

Lou
