So, let's say that a..."friend" of mine's brother-in-law got him "The Outer Worlds" for his birthday but before said friend can install and play "The Outer Worlds" he has to update his Windows build because f@c&in... the lovely Microsoft game site wants you to update your Windows to the May 19th patch but no matter what I tr...my "friend" tries, the Windows updater fails to update Windows. So it looks like this friend will have to do a complete Windows reinstall. If this friend had a nice career going in WOFF, would said friend just copy the pilots folder from the campaign folder and everything would be good when I ... he re-installs?
My friend thanks you for the assistance!

Rick;

download the Backup utility from Sandbaggers mods page and run it to "backup" your pilots and other data, then copy the folder "MyWOFFSetupFiles" that will be created in the root of your "C:" drive to some safe place and then copy that folder back to the same location after the re-install of Windows and WOFF.
You will then have to download the program again from Sandbaggers web page and run it but this time specify "restore" files. Everything will then be good to go.

Hope that helps

It doesn't work for me, always says that WOFF is not installed, even though it is. Is there a way to do this manually?

Or try tu run WOFF Mission Editor - all pilots and game settings are saved in background automatically and you can restore them anytime just by one mouse click wink .
