Greetings All,
Recently the subject of WWI pilot training in Germany and it's related kingdoms came up again, (as it has done many times over the years here), and in that discussion I mentioned that one of the best and most concise outlines of this training could be found in the "Handbook of German Military and Naval Aviation 1914-1918", first published in England in October of 1918. For those of you who don't wish to spend $20 for a copy of this book, (worth every penny by the way and one you should have on your WWI aviation book shelf), I have scanned the chapter that deals with pilot training and am attaching the scans here. For those of you wanting to start German careers in training before going to the front these will prove most helpful.
Enjoy!
Lou
