Don't want to hijack things, but what is the correct install order to get the most updated 1918 less trees facilities, and also the forts and newest airfields (havrincourt, boistrancourt etc.) ? I'm not sure in what order everything needs to be put in, because some things overwrite other things.

Cheers

Gentlemen take note:

The WOFF PE version of the "WOFF PE 2 - Consolidated Periods and CampaignData Mod by RJW " is not yet up on sandbaggers mods page so if you are running PE wait for it. Do not use the "WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Periods and CampaignData Mod by RJW " as it is not compatible with WOFF PE.

Hmmm....so we are good to mix the UE Facitilites etc, with that last WOFF PE 2 - Consolidated Periods and Campaign Data if I have PE? That is what is throwing me for a loop.

Redwolf;

In answer to your question:

If you are running WOFF UE, use the "WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Periods and Campaign Data"
If you are running WOFF PE, use the "WOFF PE 2 - Consolidated Periods and Campaign Data"

All other mods in the Consolidated suite are both UE and PE compatible.

Hope that helps

Hey Robert,

You're going to have to adjust the position of the buildings/people before it is compatible with PE. Otherwise you will see buildings superimposed on top of other buildings in the default airfields.

I belive my mods eliminate that possibility. It checks out fine on my end.
Let me know if and when you have tried it.

Ok. I see what you mean. I didn't overwrite the UE default airfield files (e.g. ggeneric...3.xml) that are in your mod. I went into the newer PE files (ggeneric .....3.xml) and had to reposition the model's location within the file. The reason is that the PE update made changes to the position of the buildings/trees within the default airfields. If you compare the default German airfields (for example) in PE, you'll see the position of the buildings were changed from UE.

Also, the terrain tiles in PE are improved over the ones in UE, so those will need to be redone for PE. Otherwise, there will be a mismatch between the blending of the custom built airfields and surrounding land scenery as well.

There still is a great deal amount of work to be done before this mod is completely compatible with PE. I salute the ones who will take on this labor of love.

I thought the re-release of this mod (PE version) was to make the terrain “match up”?
This was a known issue from Day 1. Or was this update just rearranging the buildings?
Have it downloaded but not a chance to peek yet.

OrbyxP;

Have you tried the consolidated mods components? If you do, you will see that there is no "mismatch between the blending of the custom built airfields and surrounding land scenery" in my estimation.
The mod utilizes the PE version of the "Global_Layer" files but with all the airfields relocated to match their placement as in the UE version (the replacement in UE was to have the airfields align with existing road infrastructure).
The mod utilizes the PE "terrain tiles" you speak of.
The building placement in the UE consolidated mod has been carried over to the PE version of WOFF and I have no intention to change that (As example Abeele airfield looks the same in native UE as in PE). Those placements are controlled in the "WOFF UE 1 - 19xx+ Facilities - xxxxl Trees Populated by Panama Red" series of mods that are an integral component of the consolidated mod.These components add additional buildings and figures to the airfields.

When all the pertinent components of the consolidated mod are being utilized the modded environment works as intended.

Maybe you could elaborate as to whether you have utilized the mod and which components you have active in your mod during the trial.

Best Regards

OrbyxP;

here are some additional notes in response to your statement "If you compare the default German airfields (for example) in PE, you'll see the position of the buildings were changed from UE."

Look at the "airbase_ageneric_1_xml" in PE and compare it to the same airbase in the mod and you will find as an example that the following building location is identical in both:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Facility Type="Airbase" Flags="isAirbase" OuterDistance="8001">
<Units>
<Unit Type="AirfieldFarmBuilding02" Position="-252 220" Angle=" 120.00" />

You will also notice that in the modded version there are far more entries adding additional buildings and infrastructure to enliven the airfield look and feel.

Best Regards

This is how I installed it. Not 100% sure it's correct that way, but I have no issues and everything is as it should be.

WOFF UE 0 - Facilities Models by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1918+ Facilities - Reduced Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF PE 2 - Consolidated Periods and CampaignData Mod by RJW
WOFF UE 3a - Consolidated Custom Facilities Havrincourt Wood Mod
WOFF UE 3b - Consolidated Custom Facilities Verdun Forts Mod
WOFF UE 4a - Consolidated Custom Airfields Mod

You're not looking deep enough into the folder structure and files.

In order to compare, you'll need to first uninstall/deactivate your MOD, then compare the folders and files between the MOD and default PE.

eg. WOFF UE has scenery files with 2016 timestamp with 21.3MB file size, WOFF PE scenery files with 2019 timestamp with 85.3MB file size. There are other changes with 2019 timestamp, but I'm not searching.

WOFF PE has the following airbase files (xml) with a newer timestamp (2019) than WOFF UE (2016 timestamp)

airbase_ageneric_bomber1, airbase_ggeneric_1, airbase_aboistrancourt_1, airbase_gboistrancourt_1, airbase_bgeneric_4

Your MOD does not cover 2019 changes, therefore, it is not compatible with PE.

You need to get your information correct.

1. WOFF has had all these seven seasons going clear back to OFF3, so I do not know what you are talking about.

2. I created these same populated airfields you are talking about clear back to WOFF 1 (except for the special airfields like aboistrancourt), so again I wonder what files you are looking at.
