Yes, unfortunately the player count is quite low... Steam charts
Shame cuz it look´s cool, and if more players were on I would most likely buy it. We will just have to wait till MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries is released... MechWarrior 5

Thanks Red for keeping us up to date with the various games that are available. I find it very useful as I sometimes miss or are not aware of most of them

If only it was SP with a story, campaign etc. I don't trust paid for MP only games very much. The gameplay I saw on this wasn't all that compelling, although I bet in virtual it's pretty cool.

Requested a refund after playing the tutorial. Was expecting a better looking game for it´s age. Gameplay wise, can´t say much as at first glance it´s X-COM like but more to do with stealth mechanics. Just not my cup of tea right now, or Iam spoiled by other games at the moment.
Decided to buy TSW 2020 which was also on sale. Played alot of TS 2017-18 back then, I also like trains and it´s relaxing for me, did want that too. Made a real nice diorama on a HO scale when I was a kid with my dad, it brings nice memories of those days.

You don’t need to spend money on MWO. Just going through 10 minutes of training you get a lot of cbills and over your first 25 games you load up big time. I’ve started new accounts just for the fun of it. You get around 15million to spend in those first 25 rounds, enough to buy most anything and enough XP to fill out your load of skill points. The game plays well, especially in the solo queue. There are always events going on for mc (like real money), dress items, xp etc. With the current one, I’ve gotten around 800 mc so far. Previously I’ve gotten enough to buy a hero mech.
I only spent the original 50 or 60 bucks for the founder's edition. I later won a tournament that gave me a 5000 MC boost, plus boosts here or there, and I think I still have around 9k MC left and over 100 mechbays filled with different chassis. So yeah, it worked out fine. I don't agree with balancing decisions, nor how they obsolete older 'mechs, but I had fun, and no idea how many hours I spent playing. A ton.

Old mechs aren't obsolete anymore and the skill tree worked out the bulk of the balancing issues. You see plenty of Atlases, Stalkers, Ravens etc out there. That's what I like about it. I've got my original account with tons of mechs, but starting fresh is fun and maps aren't always played the same way as they tend to be in the upper tiers.
Ah, I'm tier 1 so I never got to have any fun. When I last played I ran challenging non-meta builds such as VTRs with AC/20s and SRMs on them with giant engines or laughs.
