Firing up a early war two-seater career. Besides Capt. Triggers not being my Flight Commander I will presume that, unlike the show, German two-seaters will not hunt me down for combat? I will have to bring it to them? Assuming I can catch them of course...
From my experience, especial in a BE2, I can fly underneath and have my gunner go to town and the enemy just kind of lets it happen, only swerving slightly haha

I got fired as the door man at a sperm bank. Apparently it's in poor taste to tell leaving customers "Thanks for coming."
I remember watching this series back in the 70's with much fondness. Well, anything with kites in any way resembling WW1 crates or earlier always got me in. What a nostalgia trip! And all episodes on youtube. Thanks for the timely headsup Duke. Now I'll have to search for Dawn Patrol (both versions).
Errol Flynn version is there complete on some site called Internet Archive(?). Came up in a search. Just watched it a couple of days ago. Love that movie.
BBC's Wings is why I like to fly with RFC 19. There you are flying the BE12 which is a BE2 converted to a fillgapfighter until getting replaced by SPAD VII's. Flying a twoseater in the back seat as a pilot without observer, the gun on the side of the fuselage, having no clou where you are shooting. That's very "Wings". Especially if unticking tracer bullets. That's actually what I always do until early 1917. No tracer bullets.
Also one can fly the Bristol scout in very early war in other squadrons, vs. Fokkers and early twoseaters. The lewisgun firing to the side of the prop etc. really "Wings" as well. BTW. AI flying Bristol scouts are placing themselves not behind the enemy but in the needed angle as well, to hit the enemy.
Thanks Creaghorn for the info - you saved me much unsatisfying “career experimentation.” Rolled up a Fee career in January 1916 with 20 Squadron. It’s when the Squadron is fully equipped with one plane type. Maybe I will try the Bristol for my scout itch. Mixed squadrons can be quirky unless there is one fully equipped. Tried a 1915 career in a mixed BE/Fee Squadron but the officer gentlemen in their speedy Fee’s were leaving me and my BE behind. Thought that was fixed. And my overly friendly BE observer was kind of annoying.
EDIT: Misread your post and fixed mine. Bristol Scouts are good then.
