While trying to find information about NCO pilots I came across this. Very interesting.

Great find, Duke. I remember reading this years ago but glad it has made it's circulation again. Great information.

I got fired as the door man at a sperm bank.
Apparently it's in poor taste to tell leaving customers "Thanks for coming."

.

A great outline of the whole procedure and one that should be bookmarked. Thanks for sharing, Duke.

seems this thread contains a shorter version of pilot training for both British and German made for WOFF by RAF_Louvert.

It would be nice if I could find the German equivalent to this detailed writeup. Any of the more educated members have any suggestions for me to find that level of detail?

AM88, if you want one of the most complete outlines in a single source I recommend you start by grabbing a copy of the following from eBay: Handbook of German Military and Naval Aviation 1914-1918
It covers the gamut on German flight training, even the Zeppelin course.

Also, JFM's "Manfred von Richthofen: The Aircraft, Myths and Accomplishments of the Red Baron" has a nice outline of MvR's training.

And, many of the contemporary writings from the German pilots themselves describe their own pilot training.
