A few more flights and it’s NOT PR’s mod. Didn’t think so but found the sudden dramatic change in FPS surprising. Guess I can’t hang with Air Activity at “Ultra Heavy” in 1918. Time to go computer shopping.

Right? The number of squadrons being processed really should not have changed. That assumption is correct. You'll need to do more test missions with and without the MOD to determine if it's related or not. If you begin to see a pattern, then it's the MOD, otherwise, if there is no pattern, then it could be something in your operating system behaving erratically.

I think there are quiet periods of air activity so maybe the first days just happened to be light and/or your missions were in a light area. I'd recommend you turn your graphics settings back to where they were before and reduce the activity and see if you can get acceptable performance with reasonable air activity. I have been using Heavy even for 1916 and I'm still running into other flights pretty consistently. With ultra I'd imagine most of the action is happening far beyond where you would ever fly on your missions. In case you do decide to get a new computer or CPU: Make sure you get one with good single thread performance specifically. Something like AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600X for 200-250€ can get you similar or better single thread performance than some CPUs that cost three or four times as much. I'm not sure if there are any CPUs around that could handle Ultra Heavy air activity in the busiest 1918 though .

You might take a campaignmission, where you think it was a good test and drop it into the scenario folder. There you can fly this very same mission over and over again. This is better for testing different settings than having different missions each time with different circumstances and flights, weather etc. That is genius suggestion. I will remember this for my testing purposes as well. Thanks, Creaghorn.

A torture "canned" mission was post a year ago or so that really stressed your PC to see if you could fly 200+ planes at the same time,
I have it and use it for that purpose, but can not remember who created it.
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync
