In the Pilot Creation Screen when you chose 20 Squadron on October 1, 1916 it states the Squadron (at all ranks) is flying the FE2d.
Yet in the game the entire Squadron, and reserve aircraft, are all the 2b.

FE2d is not included in WOFF, so the closest alternate is FE2b.

Wow. Yea. It’s not listed in the Aircraft Folder. You could knock me over with the proverbial feather because I would have bet money it was. Have to say I’m a bit surprised. You must have thought I was crazy in the other thread about checking “...the 2d’s files” for a solution to another problem.

When a Squadron has a plane historically, and it’s not available in the game, doesn’t the Pilot Creation Screen normally indicate that?
Otherwise I need to get out more.

If there's no stand-in at all the plane type is shown in red. Some units are listed as having Halberstadt D.V which is actually replaced by D. III for example. There are quite a few two seater types that get substituted. B.E.2 and F.E.2 versions are probably the most substituted in the game.

It would be great to have a F.E.2d for real though. It would be a nice upgrade for the later part of the war. Sometimes it was even fitted with a fixed forward firing Lewis for the pilot.

Yes. Bigger engine and forward firing. Really thought it was in the game!
Guess I thought it was always real obvious if, in the Pilot Creation Screen, the plane was not available. Always saw it as priors in my Brisfit careers and thought it was in there. Guess I should stop playing the same 6 squadrons!
