High over the Front
Been watching this but notice I never see the Sopwith Camel mentioned in the list of flyables as it used to be IIRC. I have owned every one of the MS Flight Sims but have not played in a long while. The years have not been kind to stock FSX graphically unless you want to drop additional money for add-ons. In some cases a lot of money.
And looking at the graphics I wonder what kind of monster CP will be needed. Course you’re not rendering massive air battles so...

I've been drooling over this for some time. This vid answers a lot of "our" questions.

Holy Schnikee! And that's pre-Alpha footage. Looks like MicroSquish is actually back in the flight sim business.

Yes, MS-FS can be very expensive with all the addons behind the basic sim.
Because of that I have waited till fsx did cost only 15€. Than I bought UTX and GEX used and very inexpensive (sometimes you need patience). For easy VFR it is enough; than three good freeware-aeroplanes and that was all.
I fear, in tradition to the MS-FS-series you will need a new high-end machine at first (and fs2020 will probably need a good internet-connection). I will not do that only because of MS-FS. So a few years later -when a new PC is indeed necessary for me - I can buy it … .

It certainly looks nice but too bad the gameplay is basically just the part that I breeze through with high time compression in air combat simulators biggrin.

I liked Century of Flight best because it had a nice array of historic aircraft. I loved flying the Jenny, the P-26, and the BF108 Taifun. There was also a very nice Tiger Moth as well. It's a different challenge than a combat sim. I prefer the combat, but having to navigate with traditional instruments can be hard. I also tended to fly in areas where I was familiar with the terrain and the cities, and it was fairly realistic.
