There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

The very first photo has most definitely been seen by many since it has a young George Custer.

These United States of America
Thanks for sharing. They were tough folk back then. I have a book that I recommend called "The Civil War In Depth" and its fascinating. Through this book I learned that much of the photography taken during the Civil War of the Civil War was always intended to be seen in three dimensions. Many were taken with stereoscopic cameras. The book comes with a little 3D fold out viewer too look at these pictures and its pretty amazing to see these old photos in this way.

The number casualties in the American civil war always astounds me. I have heard figures of up to 600,000

Roughly half of the KIA occurred while being treated for battlefield injuries. Naturally as medical science has advanced the number of post-battle deaths has decreased significantly.
