Partial Penetrations. The enemy force must been Large judging from the amount of " Yellow Snow " I have had Troops riding on Tank Tops get popped in this game.
Yeah desant troops are too vulnerable. I'm playing a campaign in Red Thunder at the mo and even in that one I hardly ever use them. Just too much risk of disaster, even if it's doctrine.
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
Well you know how it is, how much different is one CM game from the next? I really like Red Thunder, but it's scope is entirely limited to the time of Bagration. No Barbarossa, which is a bummer, but what are ya gonna do?
I love East Front combat myself so RT is right up my alley. But honestly the difference from FB to RT is in degrees. Americans instead of Russians ya know?

Personally I want the next CMx2 to be Barbarossa, but that's a long way off on the BFC roadmap, if it ever arrives. The next CMRT module takes us from Bagration to Berlin, which is not nearly as interesting to me as the early war battles. 1942 would make the most compelling East Front Combat Mission warfare, where everything was more finely balanced between the two combatants.
I'd like Cold War CM too, but the way they do it now means it will only encompass one point of the Cold War I'd reckon. So maybe its early 60s or late 70s or mid 80s ya know? Since CMBB, the titles are too narrowly focused in my view, but the tactical engine is so good that I play anyway

Its been snowing the last 2 days. The unit managed to get down the road towards the objective. The Regiments Scouts reported enemy units along the road front near villages. The ground was hard for the Panzer's because of the recent snow. I dispatched 2nd Companie, 156 down the tree lines while the supporting Panzers from the 116th 3 rd Companie and 1st Companies attacked the flank through a small road net and Open fields. The tanks were supported by 1st Co, 156 PZG. We met 1 Company of Amis Infantry + a Platoon of M4A1's and a Platoon of Lt Tanks ( 10 Total).
