Jelly Maybe it's early here but when picking a theater I can't find SPAWFC is that the proper name??

It shows up as "02-SPAW final cut".

In the "LongDirSets" folder there is a file named "02-SPAW final cut".
For convenience I have just re-named mine as "12-SPAW final cut" because there was a "02-Moggy's Dunkirk Theatre" already there.
Having two with "02-" was not a problem, but it is a bit untidy.

This is what happens when I select "12-SPAW final cut":
The "12-SPAW final cut" file is copied, then pasted into the root folder as "Dir.set".
This routine happens when any of the files in the theatre list are selected.

When the exe is launched it reads the "Dir.set" file to get the paths to the files it needs.
What it reads in this case is the following list of where to look for files:

SPAW2019FinalCut
Sounds
SPAW20193DZ
SPAW2019Common
NULL

If the exe is looking for a file then first of all it will look in the 160 root folder.

If it cannot find it then it will look in the "SPAW2019FinalCut" folder.
If it still cannot find it then it will look in the "SPAW2019FinalCut\Sounds" subfolder
If it still cannot find it it will look in the "SPAW2019FinalCut\SPAW20193DZ" subfolder
If it still cannot find it it will look in the "SPAW2019FinalCut\SPAW2019Common" subfolder

If it still cannot find it it will use the default version in the "GameData" folder in the main 160 folder.

That is how the "Dir.set" system works, and has done so since 1.28c.
The only difference in this respect between the earlier exes and 160 is that when the exe cannot find a file it uses the one stored in the appropriate "CDF" files
This is why the 1.28c .....160 installations can switch theatres in a couple of mouse-clicks, something which other versions of the eaw.exe can never do, unless OAW is used.

Thanks Jelly..I didn't see it in the theater selector But looked at the file structure and saw it there..It did show up but I've been up all night and probably missed it Strange I don't have moggys Dunkirk...Have to look about for it..

It depends which folder you install it in. I ran the download in my "UAW160Multiplayer" folder, but your response has made me curious so I will check the installation of that folder.

I found it Jelly in the MP setup but all the Axis planes are Japanese..The Allied planes are fine

got it straightened out Too many 1.60 installs but luckily I uploaded a solid copy to G-Mail on the 3rd for one of ourM8's ,,Just deleted all the extra installs because I'm not sure of the shape they are in and downloaded my upload..just have to add Rays SPAW into it..I ned to do the same with half a dozen IL-2 modded installs and just keep the latest one..

Russ you need to get your head around how it works

There are no planes in the theatre. The planes are in the planeset you choose..

If it is one of the SPAW ones then the Axis planes will be Japanese.
If it is one of the ETO ones then the Axis planes will be German
If it is one of the Mediterranen ones then the Axis planes will be German/Italian/Vichy French

OK Tony earlier I picked ETO early with Moggys Dunkirk and got the Japanese planes..Went back in and selected the proper plane set and got planes more suited to Dunkirk...As I mentioned before I had too many installs..got the set I uploaded to to Google drive on the 3rd and just added in Ray's last set for SPAW..One bad habit I have is if I load a mod I do it using a copy Saved me quite a few time from starting over..Especially with the IL-2 series with the downloads and stuff that takes a couple hours to install and Once something works I'll rename it 1.60 _Good,,and dump the old one It's working well now..
Just having an issue setting my stick..If I hit a button to assign it ,,If it is set to something else It asks if I want to swap keys the Y choice does nothing but the N key works..I'll look around somewhere I know I saved the re-mappable part of my ini..The sticks working just fine OK solved that issue ..Renamed my ini and let EAW build a new one..now I can re-map my stick..Got a drawing of my setup so it's easy to do

Which version of the filemanager are you using?
If it is V2 then when you click on a planeset to list the planes you have to click another button to load the files.
If you do not click the load button the new planeset does not get loaded and the old one remains.
In V3 and V4 selecting the planeset loads it

Using Version 4 Jelly and it's working well when I slow down and think about what I'm doing..Just had the stick issue but it's fixed now

Just back from missions with Shogun at GameRanger. It ran very well

This was a ground-started mission in which we were ordered to intercept Betties.
It worked well in real time using a target and four bases close to the front line.

This was one of Shogun's kills- the smoke is from a Betty that he had just terminally damaged

Ok just one thing that has bothered me and that is calling this SPAW ""The final Cut" just doesn't seem proper to take another man's title and use it as your own..might be a bit picky on my part but i respect my M8's work,,And do appreciate Roys work,,Just the title bothers me

Time to apologize for calling out Ray's choice of titles..Vb has been using "The final cut"...In all his title screens and just didn't seem fitting to me to see it used by someone else but I see Ray has made it his last effort and so "The Final cut " might be appropriate Either way it is a fine contribution to EAW

Well at least this one has been released, and it is a general term anyway, not somebody's trademark

I have just re-assembled a multiplayer version.

After discussing the multiplayer possibilities with Ray I took up his suggestion to re-position the aircraft carriers to make entertaining ground-started missions that run in real time.
The Allied and Japanese carriers are close, so we can have carrier vs carrier battles.

The whole thing has been set up with the carriers close to the shore line. Apart from allowing us to fly over more interesting scenery, it allows us to set land bases for heavier bombers in escort and intercept missions.
Although the theatre is designed for multiplayer games, it is fine for single missions too.

Since the original release of the multiplayer package several issues arose which needed to be fixed, and a replacement package has been made.

If you installed the original then re-name your "SPAW2019FinalCutMP" folder so that a completely new on can be installed.
Run the downloaded file in your 160 folder
