Restarting the engine does not work for me after landing a few km away from starting airfield on a patch of farmland. Tried Engine auto stop (shift + E), then Engine auto start (E). Message appears "Engine start", nothing happens, then pressing auto start key again, another message "Engine is already restarting", but nothing happens. No engine damage/ No low fuel.

Maybe the game simulating the fact there are no ground crew... you need someone to swing that prop!

If you land at the airfield, where there are ground crew, you should be able to restart. If you land in some old farmer's field chances are it's not going to restart. Maybe you are stuck in a pothole

Nothing real urgent since I now know it is an intended game function. But maybe allow planes that have an observer (who wasn't shot dead) to crank the engine and restart in farmlands. It would allow a quick way to trick the enemy AI into thinking my craft is disabled before I take off again to escape.
