Hello,

I just got a new computer and was wondering if I can just copy all of the WOFF UE folders from my old computer to my new one or do I (should I?) need to reinstall the game from scratch again? I have a lot of wonderful mods so I am just wondering which is the best method.

Thanks

Hi WallysWorld,i believe a new install would be neccessary because of the registry. Your mods can copy over just be sure to Install WOFF UE,Then the latest update, skin packs etc..then re install JSGME then copy your mod folder from "Old" pc to new PC and enable your mods. That's what i would personally do mate.

And copy your settings...

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated! I will install on the new computer, patch and then copy over the needed files from the old computer.

I have done it on that way with my new PC this summer. New install and then copy the mods and settings.

Thanks again for the replies and the information.

Everything installed and patched to 4.24 and mods are working.

Taking the opportunity, I will ask: can I change the registry path somehow, so that the patch installers would recognize the new location? I moved the folder to SSD some time ago, and the game works fine; the only problem is the updates installation - they try to install themselves to the old folder on HDD.

Strange... I have all those paths in regedit pointing to the actual location (at F:/ drive), but the patches still refuse to install, saying "cannot find your woff installation".

Maybe best to move the folder temporarily, backup re-install fresh to that location you want, then delete the new folder, and put your old one there. Not recommended or supported but should work.
If it's already messed up may not work of course then you'd need to nuke the install as per the FAQ section 17. install fresh, then put your backed up folder in instead of the new WOFF folder then then run the latest patch.

Was going to do this, but was hoping for an easier solution. The last update is not that useful for me (I don't have VKB anyway), so I'll wait for the next one:)
