Finally got through exploration. What a slog. I don't know how you explorers do it. Mind numbing for me. https://imgur.com/jwFTJGlhttps://imgur.com/pVmmC38Once I got within 30% of elite I had the idea of using EDDB to finish this. I just entered a system I used to call home over two years ago, entered earth-like and water worlds as search targets, printed the result and BAM 30% completed in a day. Every jump was another earth-like and or water world. Glad that's done!! Wingy

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein

I only have elite status for "Trade" so far. I'm very far from getting elite for either combat or exploration. Same here, PM. 1 1/2 ranks to go for Xplo, if I recall correctly. Only bout %70 more for combat, so that’s not so bad. Now that the crew seems to be back in action, I’ll log in more frequently.

I endorse the Wingy Method!! My big exploration jaunt got me a big bump in EXPLORER rank, but left me 30% shy of ELITE status. It also scarred me for life and made me never want to do it again..... Using's Wingy's method, I've been tooling around the bubble for a couple of nights.. maybe 1-2 hours each night, and raised my status by 14% (and enriched my bank account by about 26 million credits). The end is in sight for DOUBLE ELITE!! ....next I have to start haunting Compromised Nav Beacons to kill ELITE ships to get the next 26% to COMBAT ELITE...

Congrats guys! Quite a few hitting Elite now. I'd love triple Elite but I don't do combat What in your opinion is the worst of the 3 to grind?
EV's are the Devils matchbox.

Combat is far and away the most grindful of the three. No contest. In my opinionation that is.

I'd second that. It seems to take forever to level up. I found Trade the easiest after deep core mining became a thing, though OG mining Painite seems to be the new hotness. I'm dabbling with Elite again, grinding up Empire rank to get a Cutter, then I was going to work on the Exploration Elite myself for the double.

I'll probably go for Exploration soon, I'll definintely use that trick!!
