We are curious to know how many people are able to run any form of EAW on a Windows 10 PC.
Please let us know if you can run EAW on a Win10 PC, or if you have tried but have not succeeded.
Please also let us know what your graphics card is, your flight controller, and anything else that might be useful.

Burning a few different sets to a DVD Once it cools down here later I'll give a few a try

I just downloaded and saved the installation. Is it preferable to download and save or download and run ? I wouldn’t think there is a difference, but thought I would ask. Especially since my first attempt at Win10 failed.

I want to install and run it on a thumb drive. Is that OK ? If it is OK I presume 5hat I copy the saved download and run it from the thumb drive I want to install it in.

Sorry for asking such basic questions, but I want to have a very controlled install so that I can be sure that if there are any issues the steps can be very clear.

And I understand I should have my controller installed and correct before doing the install and first load.

I have version or EAW 1.2,126e,128,129,140,150 and the latest UAW160 and Uaw160Muliplayer,all running in windows 10.They all
run d3d 25,28 FPS or glide 63 65 FPS using nGilde.

I at this point don't know why anyone would have too many issues running EAW on Win10.



I find Win10 the most forgiving for this old sim.
(I use 64 bit, and run it in OpenGL (OpenGLIDE) and D3D (native) and Glide (nglide) display api's or modes).

Running with W10/64 with no problems. 128C up to 160. D3D. The video card here is AMD Radeon 7770 Ghz Edition

Move the installer file to where you want the folder to be installed and run it there
If you have a previous "eaw.ini" file then copy it and paste it into the UAW160 folder before you try the "eaw.exe".
You can also try it first without the controller plugged in, and if it works you can then try it with the controller.

This installation is "free-standing". It just creates a working folder, and there are no "registry" or "program" entries in he PC system.

Back to the issue of the thread I have no problems running any version of EAW on my Win 10 desktop PC with a Radeon R7 200 series card.
My Win 10 laptop's nVidia card I need to run EAW in Glide to get horizon fog.

Running Windows 10 - no problems whatsoever (except no horizon fog - will look into Glide eventually, I think). 160, EAW Pro, and EAW Aces Over Europe all work just fine. Specs below.
Edit: forgot to add in, I use a Saitek AV8R-01 as my joystick

Running Windows 10 64 bit - no problems whatsoever . EAW Aces Over Europe , 160 and 1.28 , glide mode . Joystick Saitek x52 and Trackir5.
